Say goodbye to wearing out your headphone jack and hello to complete freedom. BeatPool uses WiFi and Bluetooth to create its own collaborative playlist, allowing people to stream their favorite music to a single shared speaker or car stereo. And, the best part is, it works without an Internet connection!
Don’t like the song your little sister added? No problem, go ahead and skip it when she falls asleep! Everyone has control of the playlist.
Only listening to your dad’s songs on family road trip? Not anymore! Everyone connected to the playlist can collaboratively add songs from their own music library. The more people connected, the more colorful and diverse BeatPool becomes. Each person gets a taste of everyone’s music.
That is a trade secret! Basically, your phone communicates with the other participants directly without any wires and creates a collaborative playlist. The communication may be based on any of your devices supported technologies, including Bluetooth and WiFi.
No, you do not. We are not using any server, everything is P2P.
We understand that you might not have your favorite music stored on your device. Therefore, BeatPool will eventually integrate with other platforms seamlessly.
We are only streaming music between devices and do not store any music files. Our app helps people listen together, not copy or transfer music files.
We will open an Android version to closed beta soon. For iOS version, sorry but we are poor PhD students. We will be working on an iOS version in the near future.
